Quality learning experiences for children requires a quality workforce to achieve the best possible outcomes for children. Funshine places great emphasis on recruiting to the highest standards. Our Senior Managers are qualified to at least Level 3/4, with no fewer than five team members qualified either to Early Years Professional Status, Qualified Teacher Status or hold a degree in Childhood Studies. We also have specialised team members who are responsible for monitoring Safeguarding and Wellbeing, Special Educational Needs (SENCO) and Health and Safety. Our teams are supported in developing their own learning and we currently have an additional nine members of staff qualified to Level 3 status three of which are currently undertaking their Level 3 in Management and Leadership, one who has recently achieved his Level 3 Forest School qualification and two who are working towards their foundation degree in Early Years. We currently have two apprentices working towards a Level 2 and Level 3 childcare qualification respectively. Our team are regularly monitored to update their qualifications in in paediatric first aid and safeguarding children and all members of staff are required to undertake an enhanced security check through the Data and Barring Service. Our catering staff hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificates.
